This is a direction that greatly interests me. And I am not necessarily talking about Photoshop art. Or in this case, Gimp2.6.6 (I can’t spend $500 on Photoshop, or won’t).
I mean this direction of abstracting from nature…starting with a sort of a landscape thing, and really bending and shaping it until it’s barely recognizable as that. Perhaps there are just a couple of threads left connecting it to the world we “recognize” as our little earth.
I think this is a good direction. As I am sure you have experienced, though all travels into the unknown beget uncertainty, almost any ‘new’ direction a mature artist takes will bear fruit.
I have enjoyed looking at your work and your site off and on for several years. It is one of the best artist sites on the internet.
Thanks, Marc,
I appreciate the input. And I’m glad you approve of my website! I certainly have put a lot of work into it; I’ll say that much.
So I’m hoping this “new” direction will bear fruit before too much longer. I don’t have so much free time as I did in previous years, But I will get things accomplished one way or another.
